About LurkViewer

LurkViewer is a free anonymous Instagram viewer launched in 2025. It lets people browse public Instagram profiles, stories, reels, and posts without creating an Instagram account and without revealing their identity to the profiles they view.

Our mission

We built LurkViewer because access to public information should not require a personal account, login credentials, or a permanent digital trail. Researchers reviewing social media trends, journalists studying public posts, marketers analyzing competitor content, and casual visitors all deserve a privacy-respecting way to look at publicly available content.

How it works

LurkViewer acts as an intermediary between you and the public web. When you ask to view a profile, your browser contacts our servers — not Instagram. We then retrieve the publicly available page on your behalf and return it to you. Instagram does not receive your IP address or any direct link to a personal account. We collect no personal data from anonymous visitors, store no Instagram credentials, and keep no long-term archive of the content you view.

How we operate

LurkViewer is operated by a small independent team committed to user privacy. The basic viewer is free for everyone, supported by lightweight non-intrusive advertising. Optional paid subscriptions unlock features such as monitoring of selected profiles, an ad-free experience, and an increased download limit. We do not sell your personal data to third-party data brokers; the limited information we share with service providers and ad partners, and the controls you have over it, are described in our Privacy Policy.
